COUNCIL TRAINERS NEEDED
If you are a teacher, leader, parent, or someone with a desire to make a difference in the lives of other, you should be a Tejas Trainer. Training is vital to making leaders able, girls stronger, and Tejas Council stable. It’s also great experience for building up your job skills! Application on page T27 in TIPS, email Christiann Tippins for more information.

In the Family Partnership portion of the August 2006 Leader Meeting, leaders were asked what Girl Scouts means to them. Here are some of the responses.

What Girl Scouts Means to Me is...

...[an] opportunity to impact the next generation of women. -RS

...learning about the community and about getting along with others. -JG

...life long learning. -MEW

...the opportunity to try new things, have new adventures, learn skills, build confidence and have so much fun the girls don't even know it's educational. -KB

...friends and a safe haven to learn. -LDS

...teaching life skills and friendship. -BMC

...learning how to be a responsible person. -SK

...leadership, fun, friendship, [and] badges. -LAA

...Time to share with each other (my daughter) [and to] share experiences with other girls. Ministry to others. -TT

...new learning experiences! -CIC

...opportunities! -Anon.

...together time for daughter and me!! FUN! Learning new things! -GEB

If Girl Scouting is this meaningful to it's leaders, imagine the impact it has on the girls themselves!
